I have been cooking and freezing chicken from my last Zaycon order for the past 24 hours off and on. I have to share with you this tip that has made the process SO MUCH easier! I used a Hands-Free freezer bag stand set on top of my food scale. This allows me to fill the bag on my own without help and with minimal mess while also measuring and weighing the portions.

Typically in the warmer months I’d just freeze the chicken breasts whole with a marinade.  That made it easy to defrost and grill – however we are entering into our heavy Winter where we expect to have several feet of snow on the ground for the next 5 months so grilling is out of the question.

I used my Instant Pot and my new (adorable!) Pioneer Woman Slow Cooker to cook 40lbs of chicken in one day, it was easy peasy!  I’m waiting for my ancient Weight Watchers food sale to croak but when it does I have my eyes set on this one.
