Want a Barbie? Amazon will still ship you a Barbie.
I know it’s complicated and the media isn’t helping. Basically amazon has warehouses across the US full of products that are sent to them by 3rd party vendors, amazon then stocks and ships those products for those vendors for a fee.
Amazon is limiting incoming stock from their vendors of nonessential items because they want to focus their time and resources on the essentials. If you’re a vendor with baby wipes or toilet paper you’ve got the green light to ship your products into your designated Amazon warehouse (please do!)
Here’s the best way I can explain it… Amazon doesn’t want to pay their employees to stock a bunch of barbies on their shelves, but if they have a Barbie in stock they’ll still ship it to you.
Shipping is delayed as I’m sure you’ve noticed, as is Instacart, Grocery Pickup services, and everything else. We just need to pull out a game of monopoly and wait it out.
There is an article going around that says: ? Coronavirus: Amazon suspends all warehouse shipments except medical supplies and ‘high-demand’ products.
This title is VERY misleading. ?
I have received countless emails and messages (thank you all for being concerned, we really do appreciate the heads up just in case.)
