I thought it would be fun to start something new here. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite movies anything from recent releases to movies from years gone past. Today’s movie is a recent release and a very powerful one to say the least. This movie is based on the true story of a newly graduated law student named Bryan Stevenson who went straight to Alabama with big dreams. His goals were to defend the underprivileged who were also serving wrongfully on death row as a result of a improper representation. It’s a MUST see – our whole family agrees.

There were no sexual scenes or innuendos, very little violence but there are a few intense scenes as the movie is set on death row, and swearing was mild.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All of our movies are watched with teenagers so they may not all be family friendly for younger eyes. Also we use IMDB to check the Parents’ Guide to see what questionable content may arise before we decide if it’s a go or not. This has proven very helpful. Another side note, we’re less concerned as a family with language as we are with sexual scenes – your preferences may differ.
