If you are looking to buy an action camera this year but don’t want to spend upwards of $300, then you are going to like this. I’ve always kind of wanted a GoPro, not because I needed it, but because I just thought it was cool. While I was looking I also found more affordable (and better) action cameras. Both of the action cameras below come with accessories and the DBPOWER comes with an extra battery. Using an action camera is usually pretty simple. To turn it on press and hold the power button, or mode button on the front of the camera. To take pictures or start recording a video there is a button on the top right corner of the camera. To switch between camera modes (picture, video, burst, ect.) you just press the mode button on the front of the camera.
Gear Pro 4K 60fps (pictured above)
This thing is a beast. It’s only $55.99, and it can shoot 4K resolution at 60 FPS (Frames Per Second) and take pictures with 1080p resolution and the camera is 16 MP (Mega Pixels). This thing blows even the GoPro Hero5 out of the water, not to mention it’s less than 1/7 of the cost. One of the best features imo is that this is waterproof up to 98 feet. It also comes with a bunch of accessories which are shown on the amazon website. It even has an LCD screen so you can see the video as you record it. Overall for only 55.99, I think this is a great budget action camera.
This one costs from $29.99 to $45.99, depending on the color you choose. It doesn’t come with an LCD screen like the other one, but it has a 12 MP camera and can shoot 1080p video. One of the cool things about this one is that it comes with a spare battery for extended recording. This is perfect if you have a little bit more of a budget and you don’t need fancy shmancy 4K recording. It also comes some accessories which are shown here. For a price of $29.99 it’s almost half the price of the Gear Pro above.
