The Frugal Find, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use (a) our website located at thefrugalfind.deals (the “Website”) and (b) our mobile applications for Android and iOS (together with the Website, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use the Services or provide any information about yourself to us. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it.

Information We Collect

1) Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you:

  • Create an account or log in (e.g., email address, display name).
  • Post comments in the app or on the Website.
  • Fill out forms, submit requests, or contact us by email or contact form.
  • Subscribe to newsletters or marketing communications.
  • Make purchases or otherwise interact with the Services.

We use this information to provide and improve the Services, deliver requested features, communicate with you, send optional marketing (you can opt out), and personalize your experience.

2) Information Collected Automatically (Website)

As you navigate the Website, we and our service providers (e.g., Google Analytics) may automatically collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser/OS, referring/exit pages, viewed pages, time on site, and approximate location (derived from IP). We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to collect this data in accordance with the “Cookies & Pixels” section below.

3) Information Collected Automatically (Mobile Apps)

When you use our mobile apps, we and our service providers (notably Google/Firebase) may collect:

  • Device and app information: device model, OS version, app version.
  • Identifiers: a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token that lets us send push notifications to your device.
  • App activity/interaction events: e.g., opening a deal, tapping links, enabling/disabling notification toggles, or opening a notification (via Firebase Analytics).
  • Approximate location: may be inferred by Firebase/Google from your IP address to provide aggregated analytics. We do not collect precise (GPS) location.

We do not collect contacts, photos, precise location, health/fitness, or payment card data in our apps.

4) In-App Inbox (Mobile Apps)

For your convenience, some notifications may be saved locally on your device as an in-app inbox so you can reference them later. Clearing app data or reinstalling the app removes that local list.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide core functionality (accounts, comments, showing deals, sending notifications you opt into).
  • Communicate with you about your account and the Services.
  • Send optional marketing communications (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Monitor usage, perform analytics, improve performance and user experience.
  • Maintain the security and integrity of the Services and prevent abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Push Notifications (Mobile Apps)

If you enable notifications, we use your FCM token to send:

  • Comment reply notifications
  • New deal alerts
  • Deal request/match alerts

You can turn notifications on or off at any time in the app settings and/or your device’s system settings. If you sign out, we stop using that token for your account.

Cookies & Pixels (Website)

Like many websites, we use cookies and pixels to understand how the Website is used, measure performance, and personalize content/ads. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Pixels from social networks and ad partners may help tailor advertising you see on those platforms. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings. We comply with platform policies for any pixels we use.

Third-Party Cookies/SDKs & Advertising

Some Website content and ads are served by third parties who may use cookies and similar tools to collect information about your online activities over time and across websites and services to provide interest-based advertising.

Our mobile apps use third-party SDKs—primarily Google/Firebase (Firebase Core, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Analytics)—to deliver notifications and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under their terms. We do not sell your personal information.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

Where applicable, we process personal data on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the Services), legitimate interests (e.g., analytics, security), consent (e.g., marketing emails, push notifications), and legal obligations.

Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., hosting providers, email service providers, Google/Firebase).
  • Affiliates and subsidiaries for purposes consistent with this policy.
  • Successors/assignees in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.
  • Law enforcement/authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell, rent, or lease your personal information.

Data Retention

  • Account & profile data: kept while your account is active; deleted upon request, subject to legal obligations.
  • Comments: retained as part of the content you post until you delete them or request deletion.
  • FCM tokens: retained while needed to send notifications and rotated/removed when you sign out or after extended inactivity.
  • Analytics data (Firebase/Google Analytics): retained per the provider’s standard retention windows.
  • In-app inbox (local on device): removed if you clear app data or uninstall.

Your Choices & Rights

  • Notifications: toggle on/off in the app or your device settings.
  • Marketing emails: click Unsubscribe in any message.
  • Access/Deletion/Correction: email us at tffjeremy@gmail.com to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. We’ll respond consistent with applicable law.
  • Do Not Track: most browsers include a DNT signal; we currently do not respond to DNT due to industry standards variability.

How We Protect Your Information

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards and work with reputable vendors to help protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use email for sensitive information at your own risk.

We may use software to produce aggregated statistics (e.g., number of visitors, popular pages) and monitor for abuse or attacks to keep the Services available to all users.

International Transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we and our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for cross-border transfers.

Email Information & Policies

If you correspond with us via email, we may retain the content of your email and our responses. We keep email addresses confidential and do not sell, rent, or lease our lists. All marketing emails clearly identify the sender and include an unsubscribe option, in line with the CAN-SPAM Act.

How and Why We Collect Information (Summary)

We collect information to provide and support the features you choose (e.g., accounts, comments, notifications), to improve and personalize the Services, to communicate with you, and—occasionally—to display relevant offers. If you participate in promotions involving third parties, those parties will receive the information you provide for that promotion.
