Meat is expensive.
I know for our family of 6 if meat is the main course we easily need 2-3lbs for the meal. Because of this we rarely have meat as the main course unless it is the pork we have raised ourselves (more of that in another post). Instead we typically use meat as an ingredient to save costs. I do however have a trick up my sleeve – buying bulk and stocking the meat freezer in one fell swoop with Zaycon Fresh.
I order fresh chicken breasts for just $1.69/lb, as well as super lean 93/7 ground beef, and ground turkey regularly from them. It’s really easy – order online and pick up in your local town on delivery day. You can check their events calendar to see when they’ll be in your area. The quality of the meat is top notch, it does however take a little time to process the chicken and portion it out into freezer bags. The ground turkey came prepacked and ready for the freezer in 1lb chubs, that was awesome.
How does it work?
1. You go online to Zaycon Fresh and place your order
2. On the day of your local Zaycon sales event, you bring your order confirmation to a designated location a short drive from your home, and you get your fresh, delicious, nutritious food!
Here are a couple other important facts you may appreciate:
All animals Zaycon sources are born, raised and processed in the US. Zaycon Fresh is a privately owned company based in Spokane, Washington. The company was founded in 2009 with the simple mission to bring farm fresh meats direct to consumers at wholesale prices.
Have you ever tried Zaycon meats? I’d love to hear your opinions on the quality and price. Please feel free to chime in!
